Focus alternative drives – Diehl Metall’s new persepective on cars

Ensuring the prospective competitiveness on the automotive market, Diehl Metall develops innovative solutions for alternative drives.

According to a new rule designed by the European Parliament the CO2 emissions of cars should be limited by 2020. In this context the increasing scarcity of fossil fuels plays an important role as well. Therefore the issue sustainability seems more relevant than ever and thus, increasing the demand to sustainable mobility.  

Materials and product solutions by Diehl Metall have been contributing to mobility for many years. Concerning the latest developments new materials and parts for achieving resource-saving downsizing strategies and alternative drives are focused.  

Thus, Diehl Metall develops and produces materials and semi-finished parts (strip) made of copper alloys that are needed for the electrification of drive trains and the bonding of battery cells. These cell and module connectors are already being used by a German OEM. Due to the innovative module strategy, these components may be adapted to different electric models.  

Diehl Metall copes with the trend of alternative drives and drives forward future-oriented technologies. Thus, the company contributes to a sustainable mobility of the future.
