With the current environmental report – validated and audited by an independent environmental consultant – we want to give an overview of the environmental protection activities at Diehl Metal Applications GmbH.
Diehl Metal Applications (DMA) produces products at the locations in Berlin (plating technology) and Teltow (stamping and plastics technology), which are mainly used in the automotive industry, electrical engineering and electronics.
As part of the participation in the EMAS system of the EU since 1996 (EMAS = Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), the environmental protection of the DMA was examined extending the existing organization. Environmental protection aspects were anchored in all important operational procedures with the help of the documented regulations. The established organizational system has been audited and validated by an approved environmental consultant.
The creation of an environmental statement is part of the EMAS system, in which companies can voluntarily participate. The system is described by a European regulation; the aim is to achieve continuous improvements in environmental protection in companies. Furthermore, the certification according to DIN ISO 14001 was carried out according to the new standard of 2015.
In the environmental report of the DMA for 2016, we give an overview of our environmental activities publishing environmental data, environmental programs and measures with the following objectives:

Diehl Metal Applications (DMA) provides customized development, production and marketing if highly technical products across the entire supply chain: from copper-alloyed strip and wire, highly complex stamped parts, including Schempp+Decker Press-Fit Zones, highly selective surface finishing as well as the plating of 3D parts to metal-plastic compound systems.
