Repeated Award for Innovative Personnel Management
Excellence Award for Knowledge Management goes to Diehl Defence
The company achieved first place in the category “Knowledge Management” with its program “EXPERTise by Diehl Defence – Connecting Generations” at this year´s competition of the Federal Association of Personnel Managers. Dieter Monka, Head of Personnel, received the Excellence Award during a festive evening at the Berlin “Tipi am Kanzleramt”.
The Federal Association of Personnel Managers annually honours outstanding personnel management projects in 20 categories. Diehl convinced the jury with its Corporate Know-how Preservation Program, initiated in 2014 and featuring innovation, employee-orientation as well as strategic inclusion as three essential criteria.
The program is based on a proven process of knowledge transfer supporting the transmission of retiring, long-standing and experienced employees´ expertise to younger generations. Apart from devising a task map and corresponding learning plan, the generation-spanning tandem constitutes the center of the know-how transfer lasting several months. The process is supported by modern tools such as video podcasts.
Diehl Defence already received an award for its demography management in 2013. The repeated win of an HR Excellence Award is a confirmation of the company´s long-standing, successful personnel work.
